HUNTING LICENSE

In order to legally hunt in Saskatchewan, you will first need to acquire your H.A.L. ID (Hunting and Angling License). Your H.A.L. ID is free, it is good for life and it can be obtained online. Simply visit the Saskatchewan Government Environment website.

Once you have your H.A.L. ID, you can now go ahead and purchase your hunting license online. Simply go to the same Saskatchewan Government Environment website.

For big game hunting, such as Bear Hunting, please make sure you purchase your license well in advance. When you purchase your license online, your license will be mailed to you in 5 to 10 business days. It will include the big game seals or harvest ledger and a printed license. Since the license is not complete until the seals or harvest ledger is included, your license cannot be printed and used immediately after completing the transaction. If you are a non-resident of Saskatchewan, it is recommended that you purchase your license at least one month in advance to allow for delays in international mail delivery.

You may also buy your Bear hunting license in person at an authorized issuer. You can find them on the Issuers search.

COST OF SASKATCHEWAN BEAR HUNTING LICENSES
Saskatchewan Resident - $25.00
Canadian Resident (non-guided) - $100.00
Guided (Canadian and non-residents) - $200.00
All non-resident big game hunters (includes white-tailed deer, Bear & Moose) must use the services of an outfitter and must possess the applicable guided license and seals or harvest ledger.
