Color Phase Bear Hunts

From endless, clean, clear lakes and rivers, to high rock ridges, to low swamp lands, sand, rock, and thick old burn areas, to open timber covered in white moss called lichen and back to more rock. Welcome to northern Saskatchewan, home to some of the best and most affordable bear hunts on the planet.

The vast area we conduct our hunts is home to many different animals including moose, caribou, martens, fishers, mink, otters, wolves, wolverines and of course the abundant Saskatchewan Black Bear. And we find lots of color phase bears in this hunting area. In my 40 years guiding black bear hunts we have taken over 2000 clients and have harvested over 1500 bears. Many of them are color phase. Chocolate, cinnamon and even a few blond color phase. I have owned and operated bear hunting camps from the forest fringe lands of east central Saskatchewan all the way to the wet boreal forest of Hudson Bay.  And I've even hunted the haunted forests of the wild cat hills.

In 2000 I found my home! This remote wilderness, full of solitude and tranquility offers an affordable opportunity to offer our bear hunts in areas very seldom seen by man. This gives us the chance to harvest those once in a life time trophy animals, and that's what its all about.

Our bait lines have a large number of active bear baits.  Our bait stations are spread over a rather large area. By doing that, we don't attract the same bears to numerous bait stations. Each of our clients will have at least three different active baits stations to hunt over during the course of their 5 day hunt. Most of our clients are in awe as to how far we travel setting up bait stations, but some of them think it's a bit much. Unfortunately sometimes that's what it takes to be successful in bear hunting.

Because of our hard work and dedication, we can proudly say that we've placed around 1000 bears in the record books, in both the Pope & Young as well as Boone & Crockett record books. Some of our clients choose not to have their trophies officially scored, but quite a few do. At one time we held several spots in the top 10. We are well aware that you can't please everyone, but we certainly do try.
